Martin Segerstråle
In 2017, Martin joined forces with soprano Therese Karlsson to create the album Folkton, a collection of folk songs and folk-inspired music. Martin wrote most of the arrangements and played the piano, with Anna Randelin joining on oboe and Klas Edvall on cello. The album can be found on iTunes and Spotify and is also available for purchase via this page. Contact information can be found on the last tab!
In 2020, Magnus Lindholm asked Martin to write piano arrangements for 40ish of his songs. During the years, the idea of a recorded compilation of the material was floated many times, and it finally came to fruition in 2024, when the CD Visum was published. With arrangements for oboe, cello, piano and double bass and sung by the two soloists Marika Westerling and Matteus Blad, the album is an exploration of what the concept of "visa" can be. Sometimes dramatic, sometimes nostalgic, but always true to the story of the lyrics, Magnus Lindholm's music has a captivating vibe that Martin found truly inspirational to write arrangements for.
